Acharya gets premiered at Mumbai Film Festival

Hardly any Nepali movies get to participate in International film festivals. Acharya, a recent one that had some positive reviews was premiered in ongoing Mumbai Film Festival. Director of the movie Prashant Rasaily along with Actor Satya Raj and some other from the movie crew attended the festival.

Acharya Nepali Movie - Nepali Chalchitra

The movie festival kicked off last Thursday in Mumbai. Organised by Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI), the 13th episode of the festival will last for a week. The festival started with premiere of much-anticipated film ‘Moneyball’ starring Brad Pitt and directed Bennett Miller.

“Acharya” though a Nepali movie, was enlisted under Indian Frame of Movies. The director of the movie, however, is from the Indian state of Sikkim. Acharya is a movie based on real life of Nepali Singer Bhakta Raj Acharya.
