Almost after a month of releasing its first look posters, Badhshala Nepali movie has released its theatrical trailer both online and “in theatres of Nepal” today. The movie that will be releasing on 8th of March (25th Falgun) this year is a star-studded movie directed by Manoj Pandit.

Watch the theatrical trailer released few minutes ago on the producer’s official YouTube channel.

As the trailer clearly reveals, Badhshala is a movie based on human rights issues during the decade long civil war in Nepal. The trailer shows victims being tortured by state army personnel thus abusing human rights. More than 2,500 cases of torture were recorded during the conflict in the country and hopefully the movie addresses them justly.

“Badhshala focuses on human rights violation issues between two facets during the uprising in Nepal and is my interpretation of the reality,” says Manoj Pandit in an interview by Aman Pratap Adhikary for TTV.

“Badhshala Nepali movie is a based on stories of human rights violations by the state during the insurgency period of the country and its more than that the movie explores human relations in between inhuman phases” comments producer Mohan Dotel when asked by Nepali Chalchitra to tell something more about the movie.

Made under Smashing Apple Banner, Badhshala stars Anup Baral, Saugat Malla, Dayahang Rai, Khagendra Lamichhane, Arpan Thapa, Sarita Giri and Samuna Kc in lead roles.
