The ministry of communications of Nepal’s Government has banned ATM Nepali Movie – that was released all over Nepal from today. The censor board had provided the movie with adult certificate and had passed for screening only after removing certain scenes. The movie however was released today without removing the objectionable scenes, which upon discovery by the invigilation team ordered the Home Ministry to ban the movie.
The movie had been controversial since its release of trailer months ago, which was adult and abusive in nature. Here’s the ATM Nepali movie trailer as released some months ago.
ATM is a Nepali Movie starring Dinesh Thapa, Sabina Karki, Jiya KC and Soniya Sharma among others. A Dinesh Thapa’s presentation, the movie is produced by Kushma Budhathoki and directed by Yadav Silwal. Even after its censor, the movie released adult posters resembling to that of B-grade adult movie. Here’s the song “Charchar Chiriyo Jawani” from the same movie released for promotional purposes.
The censor board invigilation team found out from this morning ‘s screening that the offensive scenes were not removed from the movie. It is illegal to release scenes in the movie that has been cropped by the censor board and thus movie –maker Dinesh Thapa was found out guilty for violating the law. Ministry of communications then ordered Home Ministry to ban the movie from its screening in all the theatres. Here are promotional posters of the movie after being censored.
When asked Dinesh Thapa – “Why he didn’t remove the scenes from the movie?” he pointed out to technical errors.
